If this cookie post doesn’t make it obvious enough, I’m a huge fan of peanut butter. In fact, my college roommates and I went through a brief phase in college where we put peanut butter on literally everything at the dining hall. I’m talking peanut butter with buffalo chicken, peanut butter with pizza, peanut butter with jelly…OK, I suppose that last one is kind of a classic. But still, we made it happen.
So when I heard about Eliot’s Adult Nut Butters, my curiosity piqued. Here’s a group of butters that turn the classic peanut butter on its head. And it’s not just via using almonds instead of peanuts. Each flavor has subtle twists to make even the most stubborn foodie smile. I’m talking flavors like Honey Chipotle Peanut Butter, Spicy Thai Peanut Butter, and Espresso Nib Peanut Butter. And some of these varieties have a nice little spice to them, which can make for some really interesting pairings.
The company, based in Portland, OR, has deals and recipes available on its website. You better believe I’m going to try one or two of those ideas – honey chipotle peanut butter sliders with bacon and pickles sounds like a mix of four of my favorite things – and it’s hard to knock 10% off your first order just for signing up for the mailing list.
