Subway I Got It Made Commercial – Footnotes

To be fair, I’m not even sure when I last visited a Subway location. It used to be my go-to lunch on Sunday, but those times have changed as my palate has expanded. This Subway I Got It Made commercial always made me crack up, though, so I’m happy to give the brand a nod here.

Normally, I’ll share our thoughts on a commercial in this section, but you get an extra special audio rendition here. Eat fresh, indeed. Because at Subway, I got it made. Or maybe you do. Or maybe neither of us have actually gotten anything made. Who’s to say, really?

In any case, this ad features Phillies great Ryan Howard and a bunch of other friendly faces. A man tosses a ball with his dad at a picnic. A girl places apple slices on a sandwich like this is a totally normal thing for kids to do. There are dangerous sparks flying at the electrical plant, but don’t let that stop you from eating a sandwich. And a group of high school kids celebrate their post-prom (or pre-prom? Or maybe DITCH prom?!) to eat at Subway.

I went to Steak and Shake after my prom because it was the only place that was open at around 5 am. But I suppose times have changed.
